"Up to this point and time, I am aware of only one planet that is habitable by humans. Planet Earth is under threat of climate change. One of the most devastating consequesnces of changes in our climate is global warming that is occasioned by elevated concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. It is the responsibility of all of us to mitigate the impacts of global warming. Each action, individually and collectively, counts and matters."
“Restoring ecosystems is one of the most important ways of delivering nature-based solution for climate change mitigation, adaptation, biodiversity loss, and food security. Looking at our local context and the entire Makueni County growing of trees is surely a good starting point to restoring our ecosystems and mitigating the adverse effects of climate change. Topsoil supports the growth of trees and other forms of vegetation cover. We should individually and collectively support and sustain this soil-tree-plant relationship in every square metre of our land for the various environmental benefits, reliefs against climate change and an assurance for coming generations"
